UK University - Bangor University

Name: Bangor University
Location: North Wales, UK
City: Bangor
Distance from London by train: 8 hrs 45 mins

Bangor University was founded in 1884 and has received excellent awards for teaching and research. Our qualifications are therefore recognised world-wide so International students have chosen to study at Bangor for many decades, and make up 10% of the student population.

Bangor is situated in a beautiful area yet it is close to Manchester and its international airport. It is a safe city and crime-rates are the lowest in the UK. As it’s a compact city – university buildings, accommodation and the city centre are all within safe walking distance.

Teaching is centred around the tutorial system so students enjoy direct contact with professors on a regular basis and schools offer impressive learning resources such as the ocean-going research ship and nanotechnology laboratories.
