ESRC scholarships are funding awards from the Economic and Social Research Council (UK): 

Prestigious funding opportunities designed to support postgraduate students in the social sciences. They typically fund Master’s and PhD programs through UK universities, covering full tuition fees, a living stipend, and sometimes additional research or travel costs. Chevening Scholarships are prestigious, fully funded awards offered by the UK government to support outstanding international students in pursuing a one-year master’s degree at any UK university. They cover tuition fees, monthly living expenses, travel costs, and additional allowances.

Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) scholarships are government-funded financial aid programs designed to support Ghanaian students at different levels of education, especially in tertiary institutions. They provide funding for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD studies, either locally or sometimes abroad, covering expenses such as tuition fees, stipends, and research or study costs.

British Council GREAT Scholarships are UK government-supported awards designed to help international students pursue one-year postgraduate (master’s) degrees at UK universities. They are jointly funded by the UK’s GREAT Britain Campaign, the British Council, and participating universities, and typically provide at least £10,000 toward tuition fees. Available to students from selected countries.

Academic Excellence Scholarship

A minimum of an upper second-class Honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent. Automatically assessed

Gates Cambridge Scholarship is a prestigious, fully funded international scholarship that supports outstanding students from outside the UK to pursue postgraduate degrees at the University of Cambridge. Established by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, it covers the full cost of study, including tuition fees, a generous living allowance, travel expenses, and additional academic support.

Northumbria Postgraduate Global Scholarship

To be eligible for the Northumbria Global Scholarship, you must: Be an EU or International student with ‘Overseas’ fee status Be a self-funded student (not in receipt of any sponsorship) Be accepted and enrolled on a Full-Time Postgraduate Taught or Research course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2022 (see exclusions below) Meet all individual course requirements
